2027 Yamaha WaveRunner line-up unveiled, every model listed

The 2027 Yamaha WaveRunner line-up has been unveiled ahead of showroom arrivals later this year. Here is every model in the range.

While the pint-sized Yamaha WaveBlaster stole the limelight during the reveal of the 2027 Yamaha WaveRunner line-up – see our detailed coverage here – the rest of the range came in for a freshen-up.

The 2027 Yamaha WaveRunner line-up has been given new colour and trim options for the new Model Year.

At the top end of the 2027 line-up, the Yamaha CrossWave (pictured above and below) has a new light blue colour option called Mist Grey, as the model enters its second year of availability and first full year of production.

While some customers are buying the CrossWave to take advantage of its clever layout for fishing, there is also a growing number of customers who are buying the craft due to its four-seat functionality.

Although the CrossWave might not appeal to traditional Jet Ski buyers, it is appealing to boaters who want a craft that’s easier to manvourve on and off the water .

Plus it is also appealing to people who are new to the sport and want a craft with more space, more features, and more comfort.

It is worth noting Yamaha USA has managed to hold pricing of this model for 2027 even though the prices of most WaveRunners have risen by between $US500 and $US800 – with some increasing by as much as $US2000.

Australian pricing for the 2027 Yamaha WaveRunner line-up was yet to be announced as this article was published.

The Yamaha JetBlaster series (pictured above and below) is still Yamaha’s most affordable WaveRunner model, starting from $US8999 in the US and stretching to $US12,899 for the top of the range Limited and Pro models.

There are new colour schemes on the JetBlaster range for 2027, which is now in its third year in production and still looks as fresh as ever.

Giving it a tougher look, the Jet Blaster Pro is now available with black body work with blue highlights (pictured above), although there are still plenty of bright colours on the rest of the range.

As before, the JetBlaster series is powered by Yamaha’s proven and super efficient 1050cc three-cylinder TR-1 engine, which produces 100hp in standard models and 110hp in JetBlaster Pro models.

The hugely popular Yamaha VX series has also come in for colour and trim changes for 2027, and, as before, is available with a choice of a Yamaha’s super-efficient 1050cc three-cylinder or the larger capacity 1.9-litre four-cylinder engine, depending on the model.

As we’ve noted previously, we are a huge fan of the VX models powered by the 1050cc engine, which deliver decent performance and excellent comfort at an attainable price point.

Stepping up to Yamaha’s GP series there is a choice of non-supercharged 1.9-litre four-cylinder power for the GP HO – or supercharged 1.8-litre four-cylinder power for the GP SVHO.

Many enthusiasts were expecting a supercharged version of the new 1.9-litre engine to arrive by now, however Watercraft Zone understands it is still under development.

That said, Yamaha’s proven 1.8-litre supercharged engine is still plenty fast enough and a reliable performer.

Meantime, all FX models also gain new colour and trim for 2027 – and the 1.9-litre non supercharged engine in FX HO models (and the 1.8-litre supercharged engine in FX SVHO models) carry over into 2027.

The FX series is one of Watercraft Zone’s favourite skis in the Jet Ski market today, so if the budget takes you there, it’s worth a closer look.

It’s worth noting in previous years the Yamaha FX HO was available in two colours in the US, but for 2027 there is only one colour option – the FX HO has been dropped in Australia, leaving only the FX HO Cruiser with the tiered seating.

Stay tuned to Watercraft Zone for more updates on the Yamaha WaveRunner line-up for Australia, which is expected to differ more than usual compared to the US range.
