Kawasaki Jet Ski has delivered its sincerest form of flattery to date – unveiling a rival to the Sea-Doo Explorer Pro complete with a windshield, dock-tie rails on the bow, and clever storage solutions for the rear deck.
The Kawasaki Ultra 160 LX-S Adventure model is new for 2027 and comes less than two years after the company released the Kawasaki Ultra 160 LX-S Angler, a rival to the Sea-Doo Fish Pro Sport.

The Adventure series is part of a major model onslaught from Kawasaki Jet Ski, which has vowed to regain market share and recover lost ground after experiencing a sales slump for several years.
Unveiled at Kawasaki’s global dealer conference in Cacun, Mexico overnight, the 2027 Kawasaki Ultra LX-S Adventure is equipped with the same flat seat design as the Kawasaki Angler to make it easier to move from side to side, and the same side pods as the Kawasaki Angler model for added stability when stopped.

A Garmin navigation unit is fitted to the craft, although it is only the basic 7-inch device which has fiddly toggle switches, rather than the larger and more convenient touchscreen which is available on dearer Garmin devices.
Other highlights include Kawasaki’s ‘Rideology’ powersports app that allows riders to more easily connect their phone to the craft.

Similar to Sea-Doo’s ‘BRP Go’ system, Kawasaki’s ‘Rideology’ set-up can log trips and track fellow riders.
Meanwhile, in another apparent nod to Sea-Doo, Kawasaki also unveiled a model decked out with a new range of accessories for wake-boarders.

The Kawasaki Ultra 160 LX-S WakeSport (pictured above) is a rival to the Sea-Doo Wake Pro series and comes with unique grab handles, a wakeboard rack and a two-seat configuration to make it more comfortable for rear-facing observers.
Although the Kawasaki Ultra 160 LX-S WakeSport is equipped with a rear-view camera, riders must still carry a passenger to observe the wake-boarder (or anyone else being towed by the craft).

US prices (excluding trailer and registration) are listed at the bottom of this story. Prices for other markets, including Australia, are yet to be released.
While care has been taken when compiling this list, please check final pricing with your Kawasaki Jet Ski dealer.
