NSW Jet Ski licence and registration fees increase again from 1 July 2026

NSW has maintained the unenviable title of the most expensive Jet Ski licence fees in the world. Changes from 1 July 2026 have pushed costs to new highs. Here’s how much you can expect to pay for your next renewal.

Jet Ski riders in NSW have again been slugged with an increase in licence and registration fees – maintaining the unenviable position of being subject to the most expensive Jet Ski fees in the world.

From 1 July 2026, NSW authorities increased the cost for all Jet Ski (personal watercraft) licence categories.

The recent round of Jet Ski licence fee changes represent increases of between 24 per cent and 99 per cent (almost double) over the past four years.

A one-year licence for a Jet Ski licence in NSW now costs $260 and a 10-year licence for a Jet Ski in NSW now costs $2077.

This compares to just $132 for a lifetime Jet Ski licence in neighbouring Queensland.

And $48 for a one-year Jet Ski licence and $241 for a five-year Jet Ski licence in neighbouring Victoria.
