The price of the Sea-Doo Switch – a Jet Ski powered pontoon party boat – has hit a new low in Australia after receiving its biggest discount yet in the wake of slow sales since launching locally two years ago.
Selected Sea-Doo dealers in Australia are now offering the Sea-Doo Switch from $59,990 tow-away – and are including $18,000 worth of accessories for free, to seal the deal.

This positions the current promotional price at almost half the launch price of $115,000.
However, once the $18,000 worth of accessories are added into the bargain, the current price of $59,990 (including trailer and registration) works out to be less than half the original RRP.

The Sea-Doo Switch – a tri-hull pontoon boat powered by a 230hp supercharged Sea-Doo engine – was designed to bring Jet Ski manouvreability to the party boat category.
But it hasn’t met sales expectations in Australia and Sea-Doo has reportedly sold less than half its initial allocation of vessels imported in early 2023 – more than two years ago.
Now Sea-Doo Australia has embarked on its biggest effort yet to clear the remaining inventory.

Once the old stock is gone, it is unclear if the Sea-Doo Switch will return to Australia with the upgrades introduced on later year models.
Sea-Doo Switch timeline:
- Launched in the US in August 2021
- Launched in Australia in May 2023 priced from $115,000
- Discounted in March 2024 to $99,999
- Discounted in August 2024 to $99,999 plus $18,000 worth of accessories
- Discounted in October 2025 to $59,999 plus $18,000 worth of accessories
When the Sea-Doo Switch went on sale in Australia in May 2023, it had an RRP of $115,000 including trailer and registration.
Less than 12 months later – in March 2024 – the price of the Sea-Doo Switch dipped to $99,999 in an attempt to stimulate sales.
In August 2024, Sea-Doo added $18,000 worth of free accessories to the $99,999 deal. And still sales didn’t budge.

Curiously, the current $59,990 offer is being advertised on Sea-Doo dealer Facebook pages and Sea-Doo dealer websites, rather than the Sea-Doo Australia website.
As previously reported, there is only be one top-of-the-range model offered in Australia – the 21-foot Sea-Doo Switch ‘Cruise’ powered by a 230-horsepower 1630cc three-cylinder engine – in one colour, Caribbean Blue.

In the US the Sea-Doo Switch is available in three lengths (13ft, 18ft, and 21ft) and with three engine power outputs (130hp, 170hp, and 230hp).
Occupant capacity on US models ranges from five to 10 passengers – depending on the configuration – however Australian examples of the Sea-Doo Switch have a maximum capacity of 8 persons including the driver.
Despite being powered by a jet pump and operated via forward and reverse triggers mounted on a handlebar (just like a Jet Ski) the Sea-Doo Switch is approved for use on Sydney Harbour, where Jet Skis have been banned since October 2001.

Above: The Sea-Doo Switch is shipped with a specially-designed galvanised trailer from the US to suit the tri-hull design of the vessel.

The large flat floor means the Sea-Doo Switch can comfortably accommodate more passengers than most boats of a similar size.
