Watercraft Zone’s YouTube channel – the video companion to Australia’s largest Jet Ski website – has today surpassed 10,000 subscribers and clocked up more than 3.1 million views.
The Watercraft Zone website and associated YouTube channel – which are just five years old – went live in January 2021, created by Joshua Dowling, an award-winning motoring journalist who previously worked for Australia’s largest news media outlets including News Corp, Fairfax (The Sydney Morning Herald) and Nine Media.
The Watercraft Zone website has published more than 400 articles – including news, reviews, advice and lifestyle content – and the Watercraft Zone YouTube channel has published more than 50 videos.
While about 50 per cent of the Watercraft Zone YouTube audience is based in Australia and 50 per cent is based in the US for most of the year, the ratio changes during the US summer months, when the video audience quadruples – and about 90 per cent of the audience comes from the US.
In total, viewers have watched more than 231,000 hours of Jet Ski content on the Watercraft Zone YouTube channel over the past five years.
The most popular video so far has been our original Sea-Doo Fish Pro versus Yamaha FX HO Jet Fish comparison from 2020, which has attracted more than 400,000 views.
Other popular videos on the Watercraft Zone YouTube channel include our Top 10 Jet Skis for 2024 (which has amassed 199,000 views and counting), and a subsequent comparison of the Sea-Doo Fish Pro Trophy versus Yamaha FX HO Jet Fish (2024) which has accumulated 162,000 views so far.
Viewers also enjoyed our original Sea-Doo Spark Trixx versus Yamaha JetBlaster comparison from 2024 (134,000 views) and our ‘supercharged versus non-supercharged’ video on the Yamaha FX SVHO versus FX HO (101,000 views).
A video on our tour of Alaska on a Jet Ski – a highlight of our time covering the Jet Ski world – has attracted 49,000 views.
