Yamaha CrossWave fishing Jet Ski priced for Australia, limited stock initially

Australian pricing for the Yamaha CrossWave has been announced, confirming it is the most expensive WaveRunner sold to date, and the most expensive Jet Ski on sale today. Dealers say they are already holding customer orders and stock is limited.

The revolutionary new Yamaha CrossWave – a fishing Jet Ski that can also be configured as a four-seater – has been priced for Australia, with the first shipments expected to arrive in the coming months, just in time for summer.

Yamaha WaveRunner dealers in Australia have been advised the recommended retail price (RRP) for the Yamaha CrossWave will be $52,990 excluding trailer and registration, making it the most expensive Yamaha WaveRunner sold locally to date.

And the most expensive model in the Jet Ski market locally.

This compares to $US32,499 for the Yamaha CrossWave in the US excluding sales tax – which is equivalent to $45,300 in Australian currency based on today’s conversion rate.

Add 10 per cent for Australia’s GST and the equivalent price in Australia (based on US pricing) is closer to $50,000 Australian.

The US price for the Yamaha CrossWave includes a trailer, but in Australia a trailer is an additional cost.

Yamaha dealers in Australia canvassed by Watercraft Zone estimated a trailer for the Yamaha CrossWave will cost between $3500 and $4500, depending on the quality of the trailer.

Including vessel registration, the trailer, and the craft itself, Yamaha dealers in Australia estimate the drive-away price of a Yamaha CrossWave will be approximately $56,990 to $57,990.

Australian-delivered examples of the Yamaha CrossWave will not come with the factory-supplied trailer available in the US as it is too expensive to ship the craft already assembled and on a trailer.

Instead, the Yamaha CrossWave will be shipped to Australia in the same way as other WaveRunners – in a steel frame with some components removed, and stacked inside a shipping container – and assembled by the dealer locally.

Yamaha WaveRunner dealers have been advised only 20 examples of the Yamaha CrossWave will arrive in Australia this year.

Although the models being sent to Australia are finished in the original ‘mist grey’ colour – not the optional light blue unveiled for 2027 in the US – they will be badged as 2027 models on their VIN (vessel identification number).

Several Yamaha WaveRunner dealers canvassed by Watercraft Zone said they had strong customer interest, and a number of CrossWaves already have names on them.

Yamaha WaveRunner dealers in Australia say customers have not been put off by the CrossWave’s price, even though it is the most expensive Yamaha WaveRunner ever sold.

The next most expensive Yamaha WaveRunner currently is the FX SVHO Limited from $34,999 (ski only).

And the most expensive fishing model from Sea-Doo – the Sea-Doo Fish Pro Trophy – is priced from $33,099 (ski only) for 2027.

Meantime, more specifications for the Yamaha CrossWave have been released locally.
