Jet Ski riders with a sense of adventure will soon be able to reach their destination a lot quicker – and with supercharged power.
Just one year after the Sea-Doo Explorer Pro was launched – with the same 170-horsepower, 1630cc three-cylinder Rotax engine used in the Sea-Doo Fish Pro Sport and Sea-Doo Fish Pro Trophy – the company has introduced a new performance option.
The 2024 Sea-Doo Explorer Pro 230 is identical to the 2023 Sea-Doo Explorer Pro 170 (which continues into 2024 with the same colour scheme and features) but is powered by the 230-horsepower version of the 1630cc three-cylinder Rotax engine.
A quick recap: the Sea-Doo Explorer Pro carved out a new niche in the Jet Ski and personal watercraft segment when it was introduced last year with extra fuel-carrying capacity, an additional rear cargo platform attachment, and a weather shield to deflect wind on chilly winter rides.
The flagship adventure model also comes with a 7-inch Garmin touchscreen, a rail on the bow for extra dock tie points, scuff guards on the edges of the top deck, and height-adjustable handlebars to make it easier to operate the craft while standing.
The first deliveries of the 2024 Sea-Doo Explorer Pro 170 and 230 are due in local showrooms by the end of this year.
Australian pricing (excluding trailer and registration) shows there is a $1500 difference between the 170-horsepower and 230-horsepower models:
- 2024 Sea-Doo Explorer Pro 170: $28,364
- 2024 Sea-Doo Explorer Pro 230: $29,864
