The successor to one of the best-selling and most affordable Jet Skis on sale today has finally been locked in for Australia.
The new-generation 2024 Sea-Doo Spark Trixx is due in local showrooms from next month – in plenty of time for the upcoming Australian summer.
Just 70 examples of the Sea-Doo Spark Trixx – across a choice of one-seater or three-seater versions – are coming to Australia in the initial shipment.
Some dealers may initially only get a couple of examples of each model, with 2025 versions due to follow later in the year or early next year.
Initially only the red-and-white colour scheme will be offered (pictured above), unlike the US which also gets the choice of yellow (pictured below).
The new 2024 Sea-Doo Spark Trixx prices for Australia are as follows:
- 2024 Sea-Doo Spark Trixx one-seater 90hp (red and white): $13,564 ski only
- 2024 Sea-Doo Spark Trixx three-seater 90hp (red and white): $14,564 ski only
Today’s announcement by Sea-Doo Australia comes almost 12 months after the new model was unveiled in the US.
Australian fans were forced to wait because Sea-Doo had too much stock of the old model.
Now that the original Sea-Doo Spark and Sea-Doo Spark Trixx have almost sold out in Australia, the company has finally announced what has long been anticipated: the new model will be here by the end of this year.
However, Sea-Doo Australia is yet to outline when the rest of the new-generation Spark range – and the broader choice of colours – will arrive.
As previously reported, the 2024 Sea-Doo Spark uses the same hull as the original launched in 2013 as a 2014 model.
The first-generation Sea-Doo Spark Trixx – which can ride on its tail at the press of a button that changes the angle of the jet pump, and has step wedges so the rider can shift their weight to the rear – was introduced in 2016 as a 2017 model.
The new Sea-Doo Spark range also carries over the same 900cc three-cylinder engine with a choice of 60hp and 90hp outputs.
At a glance the new model looks the same as its predecessor, however the top deck is completely redesigned – and there is now the option of a one-seat version (pictured below).
There is also a new instrument display, sockets to mount GoPro cameras, a waterproof storage pocket for a phone or wallet – and a redesigned detachable audio speaker system.
Other convenience items include Sea-Doo’s LINQ accessory attachment clips on the rear deck, side mirrors (in the front footwells), optional drink holders, and a new bow storage enclosure.
As previously reported, given Sea-Doo historically has had nine-year model cycles, a new Spark range was expected in 2022 as a 2023 model year.
However the arrival of the new Sea-Doo Spark line-up was delayed until 2024 in the US due to the global pandemic, and until 2025 in Australia due to excess stock of the old model.
Also worth noting are the changes to seating options for the 2024 Sea-Doo Spark and Spark Trixx line-ups.
The superseded 2023 Sea-Doo Spark and Spark Trixx models were available in two- or three-seat configurations.
However the 2024 Sea-Doo Spark is available as a two-seater or three-seater.
And the 2024 Sea-Doo Spark Trixx is available as a one-seater or a three-seater.
