The 2024 Yamaha FX HO JetFish edition has launched in Australia with more power, a new touchscreen navigation unit – and a $3000 price rise.
The new price of $30,899 (not including trailer and registration) makes the 2024 Yamaha FX HO JetFish edition the most expensive dedicated fishing Jet Ski on sale in Australia to date.
The $30,899 price for the Yamaha FX HO JetFish compares to $26,354 for the Sea-Doo Fish Pro Sport and $30,054 for the Sea-Doo Fish Pro Trophy.
Pricing for the Kawasaki Ultra 160 Angler, due next year, is yet to be announced.
The 2024 Yamaha FX HO JetFish is the second model in the Yamaha FX HO JetFish series so far – after the original production run sold out earlier this year.
Key changes include the upgrade to 1.9-litre four-cylinder power (rather than the previous 1.8-litre) that came with the arrival of the 2024 Yamaha FX HO – and the fitment of the more convenient touchscreen Garmin navigation unit.
The upgraded Garmin system is the same touchscreen device fitted to the flagship Sea-Doo Fish Pro Trophy.
Other inclusions on the 2024 Yamaha FX HO JetFish are the same as the original, which launched at the 2023 Sydney Boat Show in August last year.
- JetFish decals
- 45-litre Engel cooler box and frame
- Measurements on the cooler box lid to check fish length
- Yamaha ‘RecDeck’ accessory deck
- Four fishing rod holders on the cooler box frame
- Externally mounted transducer depth finder and fish finder
- Retractable rear boarding ladder
As previously reported, the JetFish kit adds 50kg to the weight of the standard Yamaha FX HO, which means the maximum payload of JetFish-equipped models is reduced from 240kg
The 2024 Yamaha FX HO JetFish edition (1.9-litre) costs $30,899 excluding trailer and registration – an increase of $3000 compared to the $27,899 sticker for the 2023 Yamaha FX HO JetFish edition (1.8-litre).
The Yamaha FX HO JetFish is powered by a non-supercharged 1.9-litre four-cylinder engine; the Sea-Doo Fish Pro Sport and Trophy are powered by a non-supercharged 1630cc three-cylinder engine.
As with the original Yamaha FX HO JetFish, the 2024 model is only available at selected Yamaha WaveRunner dealers in Australia: Gold Coast WaveRunners in Queensland, Sydney Watercraft Centre in NSW, and Diptech Performance in Victoria.
Rather than being a factory-built craft (as is the case with the Sea-Doo Fish Pro series), the JetFish kits are assembled locally by each of the three Yamaha WaveRunner dealers.
In the US, Yamaha sells all the same accessories required to piece-together a JetFish – rather than as a complete package.
