The 2025 Sea-Doo range in Australia will incur price rises of between $235 and $2085 when it arrives in local showrooms later this year.
And, similarly, in the US price rises for 2025 Sea-Doo models stretch from $US100 to $US2300.
The biggest price increase has been applied to the revamped flagship 2025 Sea-Doo GTX Limited – now with 325 horsepower, a massive 10.25-inch touchscreen, a steering damper set-up, and a cool new colour scheme (pictured below).
But the colour and trim for most models in the 2025 Sea-Doo line-up remain unchanged from this year.
And here’s why we reckon that’s a good thing.
While Sea-Doo usually changes the colour and trim every two years, some models – such as the Fish Pro Sport and Fish Pro Trophy – have remain unchanged for the fourth year in a row.
The Sea-Doo Explorer Pro is about to enter its third year without a colour and trim change.
A consistent colour scheme is a win for existing owners because it does not date the craft as quickly – and it enables new buyers to pick up a bargain.
For example, a 2022 Sea-Doo Fish Pro Sport (pictured above) still in dealer stock looks exactly the same as the 2025 Sea-Doo Fish Pro Sport.
It means the buyer can potentially save thousands of dollars on the purchase price as Sea-Doo and the dealer aim to clear inventory.
The warranty start date only kicks in once the craft has been delivered to the customer, so that’s another win.
While some Sea-Doo fans might be disappointed about the lack of colour and trim changes this year, we reckon this is a great way to level the playing field.
When addressing Sea-Doo dealers at its annual worldwide conference in Los Angeles overnight, executives acknowledged high interest rates and high inventory levels meant they were swimming against the tide.
However, Sea-Doo executives said, the company will use 2025 to sell-down inventory and match production to demand so the factory – and Sea-Doo showrooms – are no longer overstocked.
Many customers may not realise this, but each Jet Ski costs a dealer money in interest payments for every day it is sitting on a showroom floor.
Given the 25 per cent downturn in Jet Ski sales in Australia over the past 18 months, many powersports businesses have struggled to keep the doors open.
The oversupply of brand-new, unsold Jet Skis is why there were record discounts at the 2024 Sydney Boat Show earlier this month.
Sea-Doo was offering up to $4500 off old stock, while Yamaha was offering up to $2000 off – plus a low interest rate and 12 months free insurance – on 2024 models.
Kawasaki Jet Ski had discounts of $2000 to $3000.
Here’s what’s new and what’s not in the 2025 Sea-Doo line-up.
