2026 Yamaha Crosswave: Yamaha launches four-seat wide-body fishing Jet Ski

Yamaha WaveRunner was caught off-guard when Sea-Doo launched the Fish Pro series seven years ago. Now it is fighting back in a big way with the 2026 Yamaha Crosswave.

Yamaha has unveiled a segment-busting, four-seat, wide-body fishing WaveRunner that is bigger than all other Jet Skis on the market but smaller than a boat.

The 2026 Yamaha Crosswave is aimed at the booming fishing Jet Ski market and is an all-new factory-built model, straight off the showroom floor.

Although at first glance it may not look like a Jet Ski, it is powered by the same 1.9-litre four-cylinder engine and jet pump as the Yamaha FX HO – and has handlebars for steering.

And Yamaha has adorned it with the WaveRunner logo.

Key features of the 2026 Yamaha Crosswave include:

  • Squared-off hull design for better stability when stopped
  • Centre console frame with dual touchscreens
  • Large flat deck with underfloor storage
  • Space to fish off all four sides of the ski, including the bow
  • Live bait well
  • Trolling motor attachment point
  • Multiple fishing rod holders
  • Umbrella holder to beat the heat when stopped
  • Removable rear seat to make way for a cooler box
  • Audio speakers in corners of the footwells
  • Fuel filler located up high near the top of the console

Key technical details such as dimensions, weight and fuel tank size are yet to be released.

Price estimates are also yet to be disclosed, however it is expected to be the most expensive Yamaha WaveRunner model in the line-up.

Yamaha USA says it is due in showrooms in North America in the first half of next year.

The 2026 Yamaha Crosswave is also expected to be sold in Australia, however the company is yet to confirm timing or pricing.
