2026 Yamaha WaveRunner photo gallery – every model listed

The 2026 Yamaha WaveRunner line-up marks the 40th anniversary of the brand. There are fresh colours across the range, but performance fans will need to wait at least another year for the new supercharged 1.9-litre engine.

The 2026 Yamaha WaveRunner colours have been unveiled in the US overnight ahead of Australian showroom arrivals by the end of this year, just in time for summer.

Interestingly, for the 2026 model line-up Yamaha has zigged where Sea-Doo has zagged.

While the 2026 Sea-Doo range carries over most colours from last year – but with technology upgrades on seven of its 15 models – the 2026 Yamaha WaveRunner series carries over technically unchanged from last year, but gains new colours.

The two exceptions: the 2026 Yamaha FX HO JetFIsh edition is identical to the 2025 model.

And the 2026 Yamaha JetBlaster base model also carries over its 2025 colour scheme.

The two main highlights on the 2026 Yamaha WaveRunner line-up include the new segment-busting 2026 Yamaha Crosswave wide-body, four-seater fishing model (pictured above, and which you can read about here).

And the 40th anniversary edition of the 2026 Yamaha WaveRunner FX SVHO Limited (pictured at the top of this story).

Frustratingly for performance Jet Ski riders, there is still no supercharged version of the new 1.9-litre four-cylinder engine – and the old supercharged 1.8-litre carries on for yet another year.

The non-supercharged version of the new-generation 1.9-litre engine was unveiled by Yamaha WaveRunner in 2023, and is now in its third year.

The 1.9-litre was the first new four-cylinder WaveRunner engine in 15 years.

This means the supercharged 1.8-litre engine is now 18 years old.

WatercraftZone understands Yamaha is grappling with higher than expected fuel consumption during preliminary testing.

It may also be postponing the new 1.9-litre supercharged engine to coincide with the next generation GP SVHO or FX SVHO performance skis, both of which are due in the coming years.
