Almost 100 Sea-Doo Fish Pro owners have established what is believed to be the world’s biggest gathering – to date – of the dedicated fishing watercraft.
The event wasn’t in the US – the world’s biggest Jet Ski market.
Instead, the school of Sea-Doo Fish Pro models gathered in New Zealand – where the idea behind the Sea-Doo Fish Pro was born.
To celebrate the launch of the Sea-Doo Social Club of New Zealand, local Sea-Doo owners gathered in East Auckland in the middle of last month (16 March 2025) for their first group ride.
According to Sea-Doo, more than 120 fishing enthusiasts – spread across more than 90 Sea-Doo Fish Pro models – established the largest assembly of Sea-Doo Fish Pros in New Zealand and, possibly, the world.
In scenes that ought to catch the attention of executives from Yamaha WaveRunner and Kawasaki Jet Ski, aerial footage shows a sea of Sea-Doos on the water and in the car park.
As Watercraft Zone has previously noted, until the first Sea-Doo Fish Pro came along in late 2018 as a 2019 model year, most Jet Ski fishing enthusiasts rode Yamaha or Kawasaki models with home-made set-ups and cooler boxes on the rear deck.
Following the success of the original Sea-Doo Fish Pro model from 2019 to 2021, the company expanded the line-up to include three models in 2022 – with the Sea-Doo Scout, Sea-Doo Fish Pro Sport (the new name of the original model), and the flagship Sea-Doo Fish Pro Trophy.
For 2025, Sea-Doo now has four dedicated fishing models – with the addition of its first supercharged version, the Sea-Doo Fish Pro Apex 300 which is the most expensive Sea-Doo to date.
Below is the gallery from the inaugural New Zealand event.
In the meantime, over to you, USA.
