The 2024 Sea-Doo Spark Trixx has been unveiled in the US overnight – however Australian customers will need to wait until excess stock of the current model sells out before it arrives in local showrooms.
That means the second-generation Sea-Doo Spark and Sea-Doo Spark Trixx may not arrive in Australia until 2025.
The new Sea-Doo Spark line-up carries over the same hull and 900cc three-cylinder engine – with a choice of 60hp and 90hp outputs – and at a glance looks similar to today’s model.
However, the top deck and seating are completely redesigned (including a one-seat option), plus there is a new instrument display – and a redesigned detachable audio speaker system.
The major update to one of Sea-Doo’s most popular models brings better storage – with a larger centre console than before, and a new optional bow pocket.
There are extra convenience items such as side mirrors (in the front footwells), optional drink holders and provision for an optional GoPro camera mount.
The original Sea-Doo Spark – the cheapest model in the Sea-Doo line-up – was introduced in 2013 as a 2014 model.
And the Sea-Doo Spark Trixx stunt model – which can ride on its tail – was introduced in 2016 as a 2017 model.
Both models are among the most popular Jet Skis on the market thanks to their budget price. The current Sea-Doo Spark and Spark Trixx range from $9800 to $14,800 in Australia.
Given Sea-Doo historically has nine-year model cycles, a new Spark and Spark Trixx platform were expected last year.
However the arrival of the second-generation Sea-Doo Spark line-up was delayed until this year due to the global pandemic.
As the 2024 Sea-Doo Spark and Spark Trixx range was unveiled to dealers globally at a gala event in the US overnight, local showrooms were advised the second-generation craft will not come to Australia until excess stock of the current model is sold out.
