Dealer invoice prices in the US for the 2025 Yamaha WaveRunner line-up were published in error on the company’s US website over the weekend.
The incorrect prices were initially published and taken down one hour before the embargo lifted – and then accidentally republished after the embargo lifted.
After years of record high increases, the prices initially showed surprising reductions across most models for 2025.
However, when the prices were eventually corrected, they showed the usual increases across the line-up compared to the previous year model.
Dealers who attended the global reveal of the 2025 Yamaha WaveRunner line-up in Boston were shocked to see their invoice prices made public.
To give dealers some modesty we have since blurred the prices initially published by Yamaha’s WaveRunner website in the US.
However, they are frozen in time thanks to internet history archives.
We have also included the correct US prices for the 2025 Yamaha WaveRunner line-up at the bottom of this story.
Australian prices for the 2025 Yamaha WaveRunner line-up are due to be announced on 19 August 2025.
Interestingly, the dealer profit on a Yamaha WaveRunner is much smaller than most buyers would expect.
A previous version of this story laid bare the margins for each model.
However to give Yamaha dealers in the US some modesty – and at the request of Yamaha – we have deleted the table.
Only four of the 23 prices were correct on the official US Yamaha WaveRunner website when the embargo lifted, but all have since been amended.
