2025 Yamaha WaveRunner line-up unveiled, every model listed

Next year’s Yamaha WaveRunner range has been unveiled in the US overnight, ahead of showroom arrivals later this year. Here are the key changes and new colour schemes for every model in the 2025 line-up.

The 2025 Yamaha WaveRunner line-up has received colour and trim changes across the entire range – and an all-new entry model replaces the EX series.

However, performance fans will need to wait at least another year for a supercharged version of the new 1.9-litre four-cylinder engine.

The non-supercharged version of the new 1.9-litre four-cylinder engine (pictured above) was unveiled this time last year with the 2024 Yamaha FX HO and 2024 Yamaha GP 19 HO – as a replacement for the 1.8-litre engine introduced in 2008.

Despite anticipation of a power war with Sea-Doo (325hp) and Kawasaki (310hp), Yamaha appears to be doing further development on the supercharged version of the 1.9-litre four-cylinder for introduction at a later date.

The headline act in the 2025 Yamaha WaveRunner line-up is the new JetBlaster series (pictured above) with a completely new top deck and hull.

While the JetBlaster name was most recently used on the performance version of the EX, the name is now used across the entire EX replacement series.

There are now four JetBlaster variants – two with stunt mode and rear step wedges, and two without – designed to tackle the Sea-Doo Spark range head-on in the budget end of the personal watercraft market.

Meantime below are the key changes for the rest of the 2025 Yamaha WaveRunner line-up.

  • 2025 Yamaha FX HO, FX SVHO, GP SVHO, GP HO and VX Cruiser models come with larger and louder 6.5-inch speakers by Yamaha Audio (replacing the previous 4.5-inch speakers);
  • 2025 Yamaha FX HO and FX SVHO 7-inch touchscreens come with customised background themes: Classic, Modern or Sport;
  • Revised names for simplicity: GP SVHO (supercharged 1.8-litre four-cylinder) and GP HO (non-supercharged 1.9-litre four-cylinder) to match FX naming convention;
  • 2025 Yamaha GP SVHO goes back to one colour scheme in Australia (rather than a choice of two) after Yamaha dealers asked for one option to better manage showroom stock;
