Fishing enthusiasts will have more choice on the water this summer with three new Sea-Doo Fish Pro models unveiled for 2022 – adding a flagship and a more affordable option to the mix.
The 2022 Sea-Doo range went live on the company’s website overnight, revealing three new Sea-Doo Fish Pro models, a range of new fishing accessories, and colour changes for the high-performance RXT-X300 and RXP-X300 models (click here).
The original Sea-Doo Fish Pro launched in 2019, an industry-first personal watercraft dedicated to fishing, with direct design input from New Zealand fishing expert Andrew Hill.
The craft has now been renamed the Sea-Doo Fish Pro Sport and retains its economical 170 horsepower 1630cc three-cylinder engine, 70-litre fuel tank, and blue and white colour scheme from 2021 (pictured above).
The Sea-Doo Fish Pro Sport is now in the middle of the company’s expanded fishing watercraft range.
A smaller and more affordable option called the Sea-Doo Fish Pro Scout (pictured below) is based on the mid-size Sea-Doo GTI series and has a 130 horsepower 1630cc three-cylinder engine and a 60-litre fuel tank.
The 2022 Fish Pro Scout comes with the same 51-litre cooler box as other Fish Pro models – and a 6-inch Garmin navigation unit in place of the right mirror – but it lacks the rear deck extension and angled gunwale side steps fitted to larger Fish Pro models.
A new flagship Sea-Doo Fish Pro Trophy edition (pictured below) is based on the same deck and hull as the Sea-Doo Fish Pro Sport and powered by the same 170 horsepower 1630cc three-cylinder engine.
The Trophy edition gains a brighter colour scheme, a colour digital dash display, a 7-inch Garmin touchscreen navigation unit and fish finder, and the extra-cost option of a pop-up swivel seat.
There is also an optional claw anchor (pictured above) that attaches to a bracket on the top deck, and a dual battery system designed to run ancillaries, such as a pump that runs water through a hose to clean fish or turn the cooler box into a live well.
As with the rest of the 2022 Sea-Doo range, prices have risen sharply in the wake of supply constraints and increased demand.
The 2022 Sea-Doo Fish Pro Scout starts from $19,609 not including trailer and registration – this is dearer than the original 2019 Sea-Doo Fish Pro launch price of $19,199.
The 2022 Sea-Doo Fish Pro Sport starts from $22,709 not including trailer and registration – up $2010 on last year’s $20,699 cost excluding speakers.
If the prices of other 2022 Sea-Doo Fish Pro Sport models – equipped with optional stereo speakers and IDF – increase by the same amount, they will cost from $23,709 (with speakers) and $24,309 (with speakers and IDF).
The flagship 2022 Sea-Doo Fish Pro Trophy priced from $27,309 – excluding trailer and registration – is more expensive than last year’s supercharged performance models.

All three 2022 Sea-Doo Fish Pro models are available with the company’s industry-first IDF (Intelligent Debris Free) debris-removal system and a low speed trolling mode.
In its annual online presentation about what’s coming up next year, Sea-Doo did not provide an update on any improvements to its IDF debris removal system even though some early examples had failures that could leave the craft in neutral and riders stranded.
Watercraft Zone understands changes are being made to IDF on the production line in Mexico, in addition to extra checks by dealers before delivery.

There are still no supercharged Sea-Doo Fish Pro models in the revised range.
However, the Fish Pro Sport’s modular accessories can be bought separately and attached to the high-performance Sea-Doo RXT-X300 or Sea-Doo GTX 300 Limited.
Australian Sea-Doo fans won’t need to wait long for 2022 models to arrive.
Watercraft Zone understands the BRP factory in Mexico has already started production and will soon begin shipping the first batch of 2022 models.
Arrival timing for the 2022 Sea-Doo range in Australia was yet to be confirmed as this article was published on 12 August 2021.
However if history is a guide, the first 2022 Sea-Doo models are due to arrive in Australia in time for the start of summer, pending shipping delays and seasonal quarantine hold-ups.
