Sea-Doo Australia has extended its scorching discounts of up to $3500 – as well as low interest rate finance offers, and one year extra warranty on certain models – as it remains critically overstocked as the sun is about to set on summer.
Industry data shows sales of Jet Skis and personal watercraft hit reverse in 2023 – down 24 per cent compared to the record year prior – and this has left market leader Sea-Doo with a warehouse full of unsold inventory.
Sea-Doo dealers canvassed by Watercraft Zone said sales of personal watercraft hit the brakes in 2023 after a surge in 2021 and 2022 amid travel restrictions during the global COVID pandemic.
“A lot of people bought a Jet Ski during COVID because they couldn’t travel, but now everyone can travel again,” a leading Jet Ski dealer told Watercraft Zone.
“There are a lot of near-new secondhand skis for sale with low hours on them, because people used them once or twice during COVID and that was it.
“So you have a flood of good used skis at the same time as supply of brand-new 2023 and 2024 models improved dramatically.”
In what is believed to be an unprecedented move, Sea-Doo Australia has doubled the length of time for its current promotion.
In November last year, Sea-Doo Australia launched discounts of up to $3500 and low interest rate finance offers that were due to expire at the end of January 2024.
But after the three-month promotion failed to shift enough stock, Sea-Doo Australia has extended the same sharp deals for another three months.
It means Sea-Doo Australia’s current promotion – the brand’s biggest discounts in recent memory – will have run for six months, or half a year, unless it is extended yet again.
As previously reported, given the 2024 Sea-Doo model range went up by between $230 and $3110, the runout deals on 2022 and 2023 Sea-Doo stock amount to savings in some cases of close to $5000 compared to the 2024 line-up.
The Sea-Doo offers follow discounts from Yamaha WaveRunner (up to $1500 off to 31 December 2023) and Kawasaki Jet Ski (up to $1500 off to 31 January 2024).
The three models with the biggest discount of $3500 – the Sea-Doo Fish Pro series – have no colour or trim changes to distinguish 2024 models from their 2023 equivalents, delivering buyers an even bigger bargain.

On Sea-Doo models available with 0 per cent or 4.99 finance offers, the terms are as follows:
- 15 per cent deposit required
- Repayments must be completed in 12 to 36 months (one to three years) with no residual (or “balloon”)
- Finance offer is subject to credit approval
In addition, all 2022 Sea-Doo models (excluding supercharged variants) come with a three-year warranty versus the standard two-year coverage, regardless of whether they are bought at a discounted price or with a finance offer.
Sea-Doo Australia says its latest offers are due to expire on 30 April 2024 – or while stock lasts.
